Chemelco has been selling to the Meat Industry in Central America, the Caribbean and the North of South America for 40 years, and has gained ample experience in providing Meat Processors in the region with the right quality products.

Most of the products we supply from our warehousing facilities in the port of Rotterdam. This not only results in short lead-times for products to arrive at your facility, it also allows you to order mixed FCLs with various products in one container. Virtually any combination of products is possible!

History and Developments

From prehistoric days meat has been on man's menu. Then meat was eaten as such, and preserved by either salting or freezing. Nowadays the variety of meat products is sheer endless, to name a few: steaks, hams, corned beef, salami, sausages, hamburgers, jerk, pepperoni.
Ingredients used by meat processors serve to produce this wide variety of products, but also have other functions like preservation of the meat, retain moisture, etc.

Besides our traditional A-line of products from top-class, predominantly European manufacturers, we have now lso set up our own Sumo® line of products. These products are produced by quality producers and have earned the seal of approval from Chemelco. Many originate from countries in Asia. They offer a good quality, value-for-money alternative.
