Thickeners

Recently Chemelco has expanded it's range of thickeners and we are able to offer solutions for any rheological question and need.

Thickeners are gaining popularity in different detergent formulas and food applications.

For household cleaners products like Xanthum gum and Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) are used a lot. Downside is that Xanthum gum is unstable in use in cleaners and HEC is only ready for us after a complicated process by heating and stabilizing the material.

Food processers are moving from more traditional thickeners like flour and starches to CMC, Xanthum Gum, Pectin and Guar Gum, as well as mixtures of a combination of these products.

Household cleaning thickeners

Most commonly used to create an impression of high concentrated products but in-fact solids content can be as low as 5%.
We offer a variety of co-polymer and acrylic based products specifically designed for several applications. We can offer the following liquid products which are ready to use and need no special preparation;

• Visco Brite® 1588, specially designed to thicken Ester Quat/ fabric softener raw materials and acitic cleaners (toilet boil cleaners),
• Visco Brite® 633 - specially designed to thicken scrubbing creams and Caustic Soda solutions,
• Visco Brite® 635 - similar to Visco Brite 633 but is also suitable for surfactants with thixotropic properties.
• Visco Brite® 637 - cost effective thickener

We also offer powder products for various application,

• Visco Brite® 940, specially designed for cosmetic and hair gel applications. You can use the material together with PVP in order to enhance effects.
         o Briteframe PVP K 30, suitable for pump spray gels or solutions. Normal holds!
         o Briteframe PVP K 90, suitable for a strong hold and high viscosity.

The materials are easy to use, we do hold several example recipes with extra attention to the pH level of the formula.
