Introduction of Ethoxy Brite^® FAE7

In recent months authorities in the Caricom and surrounding countries are becoming very stringent on the importation and usage of Nonyl Phenol Ethoxylates as non-ionics in among detergent formulary, textiles industries and others.

Practice is that Nonyl Phenol Ethoxylates were always much cheaper and effective than the
already long-existing biodegradable alternative, Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylate. In the past year also NP 9, for example, went up in price and is currently in very short supply.

Chemelco already introduced years ago the alternative product "Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylate". Some of you are using but, for price-reasons, many companies remained using Nonyl Phenol Ethoxylates, despite of their carcinogenic, toxic and non-biodegradable character.

To remain in the market, some suppliers have been quite "creative" with offering NP 9. We have met for example datasheets mentioning Nonyl Phenol Ethoxylate NP 9 BIODEGRADABLE. This is absolutely not correct and will jeopardize labeling of your end-products. Exporters should take extra care as U.S and European buyers are absolutely not accepting Nonyl Phenol related material.

We gladly introduce with you now our ETHOXY BRITE® FAE 7 as a true biodegradable alternative for NP 9.

Very important is it's price: similar to or lower than current NP 9 price-levels.

Application:
Several of our customers have tested the product by replacing the NP-9 by ETHOXY BRITE® FAE 7 and found no differences in product appearance. The percentages used are similar.

Except for NP-9, we can also offer alternatives for NP-6 and others.
